Most South African medical professionals are still doubtful over the implementation of the proposed National Health Insurance scheme into the South African healthcare system. According to a survey conducted by PPS among almost 400 medical professionals, only 19% of the respondents indicated that they had started taking the necessary steps to ensure ease of integration into the new NHI model once implemented.

Business owners in South Africa upbeat about starting a business - despite the impending local recession

A survey by the global Entrepreneurs' Organisation - shows that 101 leading South African entrepreneurs from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban are upbeat about the economy with 85.1% indicating a willingness to start an additional business in the current economic environment. This is despite 70% of respondents predicting a deteriorating economic outlook for South Africa.
