The Financial Services Board (FSB) would like to warn the public to act with caution when dealing with Stephan Richards (“Mr Richards”) and Tshepiso Lekganyane (“Mr Lekganyane”). Both Messrs Richards and Lekganyane are not authorised in terms of the Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (“FAIS Act”), to render any financial advice and intermediary services. They are also not authorised in terms of the Long-term Insurance Act, 1998 (“LTIA”) to carry on any kind of long-term insurance business.

FSB discusses twin peaks reform with industry stakeholders

The Financial Services Board (FSB) recently opened a discussion on the implementation of the Twin Peaks model of financial regulation, which will see the FSB become a dedicated market conduct regulator with an enhanced mandate for the supervision of conduct of business, market integrity and consumer education. A two-day workshop was held with key stakeholders and role players within the industries that the FSB regulates, to obtain their input on the FSB’s initial thinking on its new regulatory and supervisory strategy.
