IRMSA welcomes new President

IRMSA has a new President! Berenice Francis has served as a Vice President of our Institute for the past year and was elected as our new President at the Executive Committee meeting held earlier this week. We would like to congratulate her on this appointment. Berenice has been actively involved with IRMSA since 2006, as a member and later chair of the Membership Committee, a former Vice President of Exco and Chair of the Education and Technical Committee. We are honoured to have Berenice, recipient of the prestigious 2015 IRMSA Risk Manager of the Year Award, as our President.

After close to two decades of varied insurance and reinsurance experience during which he established himself as a key player in the South African insurance industry, Daryl was head-hunted in 2003 to join the pioneer management team that transformed the Corporation's representative office to a wholly-owned subsidiary licensed to undertake reinsurance business in South Africa. His appointment paid off as he was a key driver of the Corporation's rapid growth in that highly competitive market.
