Statement - in response to "FSCA warns public to act with caution when dealing Chenge Logistics Pty Ltd and Exclusive Empowerment Holdings Pty Ltd"

CHENGE & PARTNERS LOGISTICS (PTY) LTD confirm that we are currently under investigation by the FSCA (Financial Service Conduct Authority), we are of the opinion that the said investigation is baseless and part of a malicious smear campaign against the Company. Media reporting thus far have been inaccurate and as a result malicious damage has been caused to the reputation of the Company.

CHENGE  & PARTNERS LOGISTICS (PTY) LTD and EXCLUSIVE EMPOWERMENT HOLDINGS would like to state that:

i) Our operations have stagnated as a result of the Warrant of Search and Seizure granted by the Magistrate on the 1st of April 2019 in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate District Court. Our work equipment was removed from our office by FSCA on the 2nd of April 2019 and shortly thereafter our accounts have been frozen.
ii) Our Company is still in operation and meeting its obligations. Similarly, our Clients are still receiving our services timeously despite the current situation.
iii) Clients are aware of how our Company is ran and how transparent and reliable we have been.
iv) There has been no misappropriation to our Clients funds as alleged by FSCA in media reports. It is our view that these allegations are defamatory and scandalous in nature.

Contrary to media reports we have complied and co-operated with the Investigator’s requests and we have instructed our Attorneys, S Dywili Attorneys to handle the matter in the appropriate manner going forward.

We take exception to the assertion that our Company has been labelled a “Ponzi Scheme” by some media outlets. As we have stated our Company is still operating and all payments due for the month of March 2019 and all preceding months have been honoured without issue and we do not foresee any issues in meeting our obligations in the future.

It is our duty as Directors of CHENGE & PARTNERS LOGISTICS (PTY) LTD and EXCLUSIVE EMPOWERMENT HOLDINGS to ensure a swift resolution to this matter and proceed forward with honesty, integrity, accountability and transparency that our Clients have always received from us.
