All costs to brokers

13 August 2006 Reader

One of our readers responds to a newsletter...

Forget about only loading the apps, they have passed on their printing costs because they change there forms on a regular basis and we have to download and print everything ourselves. They don't print as many glossies as they used to, and we have to now print application forms (that can use 22 pages) technical information etc ourselves.

Too much is being passed on to the broker to pay for, and the "fat cats" who sit in their offices and make stupid changes to apps or products without concern for the end user because they they don't know what it is to pay for something themselves couldn't care a damn.

Thanks for the info, lets keep putting pressure back on the folk who hide behind huge Marketing budgets, and layers of Management in the name of making profit iwthout out concern for the client or IFA who has to deliver for his client.

QUESTION

We have watched with interest as each of the country’s large life insurers report their 2021 life claims statistics, with soaring claims and claims values. That got us thinking: how do the big life insurers compare against one another, from an IFA perspective?

ANSWER

An insurer is an insurer is an insurer
All are excellent: would not deal with them otherwise
There is one insurance brand that stands out for me
Tied agent: but my brand is the best out there
