Innovation Group launches insurer analytics to South Africa

03 April 2013 Innovation Group

Product launch signals new era in insight and business analytics for South African market

Innovation Group, a global provider of business process services and software solutions to the insurance, financial services, automotive and property industries announced today that they will be launching Insurer Analytics, the business analytics component of the Innovation Insurer suite, to the South African market.

Insurer Analytics provides the short term insurance industry with one version of the truth through a single enterprise view, thereby empowering the business operationally to measure, monitor and manage, as well as strategically to uncover, insights and opportunities in to where their most and least profitable risks prevail.

Insurer Analytics provides key data mastery components including analytics, BI presentation layer, ETL, a data warehouse / data mart, data sets and enterprise roadmap. The out of the box solutions contained within Insurer Analytics are geared around maximising revenues, managing performance across the insurance value chain, preventing cost leakage, and improving efficiencies. Insurer Analytics can be used in multiple functional areas within an organisation, including customer data, distribution/channel management, underwriting, policy service, claims, pricing, enterprise risk management (ERM), catastrophe management, fraud management, and supply chain management.

Insurer Analytics uses Microsoft SQL Server 2008 release 2 (64bit) for data warehousing and its BI capabilities and Microsoft Silverlight to deliver an advanced BI presentation layer.

Insurer Analytics is available as a standalone solution and is database independent. The underlying Microsoft BI technology used in Insurer Analytics was positioned as a leader in the "The Forrester Wave™: Self-Service Business Intelligence Platforms, Q2 2012" report in June, and in the "Gartner 2012 Magic Quadrant™ for Business Intelligence Platforms" in February

“The business impact of Insurer Analytics in terms of insight, innovation and performance is significant,” said Glen Mollink, Chief Executive Officer of Innovation Group South Africa. “Through the use of Insurer Analytics, risk carrying organisations can increase their market share, improve customer loyalty, drive service excellence and ultimately be more profitable. Insurer Analytics is unmatched in its ability to deliver out of the box tools and reports that are easily implemented. The system has multiple international users and is regionalised for the South African market."

"We believe launching Insurer Analytics to the South African market comes at the right time as it will help organisations respond to increasing market demands," says Christine Sheffield, Chief Information Officer of Innovation Group South Africa. "Insurer Analytics represents Innovation Group's commitment to deliver a solution portfolio with distinct capabilities geared towards enabling clients to unleash new ideas, break legacy paradigms and embrace change and we are very excited about taking the product to market."
