Free ACORD access for 2013
In response to the market request for accessible ACORD Members only standards for small to mid-size brokers and vendors, ACORD has worked with the Southern Africa Steering Committee to allow free access, for one year, to certain brokers and vendors. This
The access will require the turnover be below certain preset thresholds. For brokers and UMA’s, the annual turnover must be below R410,000,000. Vendors that fall below the annual turnover threshold of R216,000,000 will also be eligible for this access. Prior to granting access to these companies, ACORD will verify the turnover figures to ensure that the company does, in fact, meet the turnover requirements.
This program will allow the participants to download the member’s only version of the Southern Africa Standard, participate in Working Group activities and request changes to the standard. Access to any of the other ACORD member benefits will not apply, including voting and access to The Framework.
The limited access will be available for 2013 only, after which a fee will be charged for continued access of this type. This fee still needs to be confirmed, but it is foreseen that it may not initially exceed $1000 annually. Any of the qualified companies are always welcome to join ACORD as a regular member at the normal pricing scheme (brokers charged at USD 143 per million of revenue (minimum USD 8000, maximum USD 125,000, vendors are charged a flat rate of USD 7000). The free membership may be cancelled after the stated period with no penalty to the member.
To activate your access, please send your latest audited financial statement to Alan Stitzer ([email protected]) with your request. ACORD are committed to process all applications as a matter of urgency to ensure speedy access to the standard.
The STRIDE and FIA teams would like to express their gratitude to ACORD for making this limited offer available to the Southern Africa market. This could not have come at a better time as various vendors and brokers are currently mapping their data to the ACORD standard; having access to the member download will make this task much easier.
