As part of a business objective to modernise its insurance systems, Etana Insurance Company, a member of the Hollard Group, recently extended its agreement with IT-partner, SSP, to include the implementation of the S4i insurance solution.

Following an in-depth review of its current IT system and competitor solutions, Etana chose SSP S4i as it offers a modern, flexible solution that delivers significant business benefits and provides a rapid return on investment. "SSP is a valued business partner and has an outstanding track record with Etana. The S4i solution made the most sense in terms of our business objectives," said Rob Hallier, Vice Chairman Etana Insurance Company.

Etana was experiencing various challenges with its existing IT system including the high-cost of ownership, the slow pace in delivering new products, the rigidity in producing custom reports, the difficulty in tracking vital documents in a paper-based environment and the complexity of enabling the system for e-commerce and online processing. "Basically the business needed a technology re-fresh if we were to meet current and future demands," says Hallier. In order to overcome these challenges and support its business transformation strategy, Etana selected S4i. "S4i is designed to deliver speed to market and online distribution which are key requirements in today's marketplace ," says Rhys Collins, Head of Operations at SSP.

S4i has the capability to improve business processes and to adopt market changes with ease and efficiency. "A major concern that Etana had with its old system was the slow rate that new products were being introduced to the market. The S4i solution, with its flexible product builder will ensure a much faster delivery rate while enhancing distribution channels and improving business insight through its Business Intelligence module," adds Collins.

"SSP has been an IT partner of Etana for the past 19 years and we are confident that this modern, flexible IT solution will be fundamental in helping us achieve our future IT goals which in turn will take the company from strength to strength. We have a great relationship with SSP and see a strong partnership for years to come," concludes Hallier.
