Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year

There was plenty for financial intermediaries to wrestle with through 2010 too. We’ve had to adapt to Conflict of Interest and the prospect of FAIS Regulatory exams and Treating Customers Fairly which will no doubt dominate 2011. We’ll have to wait and see what else the regulators have in store for us next year… I expect the main focus will be on National Health Insurance (NHI) and government’s latest growth plan; but you never know. If you’ve survived 2010 unscathed then you should follow the FAnews Online example and take a well-deserved break! Today’s newsletter is your final instalment for the year. I will be back on 10 January 2011 to keep you up to speed with all the news and views relevant to financial services professionals.
As FAnews Online editor I’d like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt word of appreciation to each and every one of you: “Thanks for your loyal support through 2010!” Without you FAnews Online would not have grown to occupy the space it does today.
Here’s wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a safe and prosperous New Year.
