Make your point
And make your voice heard comment on the discussion paper. Now I know that traditionally a portion of our population has a history of not voting; or not making a noise; or not complaining about shoddy service but the time has come to change all of that.
The intermediary industry is on the threshold of an epoch changing era. And Im not talking about the associations that represent the members - Im talking about the individuals. The intermediaries, brokers, advisors, and tied agents.
You have the opportunity to see democracy in action. Send your comments through to National Treasury, and see whether any of your individual thoughts are taken into account.
Obviously if you want to make a point and you are a member of an association then its time to speak to the executive. If you think that your thoughts and suggestions will fall on deaf ears, send them directly to the people at the National Treasury that are responsible for collating all comments.
You may well find that the exercise is a futile one. But what is worse sending your thoughts through, or quietly sitting in your office and fuming about how you are being pushed out of business. Do something anything.
If I understand it correctly all comments have to be evaluated. And If I understand anything its the fact that generally people all have similar needs and people operating in any one particular industry all face similar challenges and eventually find similar ways in which to work around those challenges.
