INSETA Celebrates 25 Years of Excellence at Annual General Meeting
A Quarter Century of Transforming Skills Development in South Africa's Insurance Sector The Insurance Sector Education and Training Authority (INSETA) today hosted its Annual General Meeting (AGM), marking a momentous occasion as the organisation celebrates 25 years of unwavering commitment to skills development, transformation, and excellence in South Africa's insurance sector.

The AGM, held on 28 November 2025, brought together key stakeholders from across the insurance and financial services landscape to reflect on INSETA's remarkable journey since its establishment in 2000. The gathering served as both a celebration of achievements and a reaffirmation of the organisation's commitment to driving skills development that responds to the evolving needs of the sector and the nation.
Accounting Authority Representative's Remarks
Speaking about the AGM, representative of the Accounting Authority reflected on the organisation's quarter-century journey: "Today, we stand proud as we look back at 25 years of building a
skilled, transformed, and inclusive insurance sector. INSETA has remained steadfast in its mandate to open doors for South Africans, particularly our youth and those from previously disadvantaged
communities. This milestone is not ours alone - it belongs to every learner, employer, training provider, and partner who has walked this journey with us. As we look to the future, we recommit ourselves to
innovation, good governance, and impactful skills development that truly changes lives." - Representing the INSETA Accounting Authority, Mr Sam Mpuru, said.

CEO's Address
INSETA Chief Executive Officer spoke to the organisation's track record of performance and its forward-looking vision: "For 25 years, INSETA has demonstrated that excellence is not a
destination but a daily commitment. Our consistent achievement of performance targets, our continuously improving audits, and zero tolerance for fruitless and wasteful expenditure speak to the culture of
accountability and integrity that defines this organisation. But beyond the numbers, our true measure of success lies in the thousands of lives we have touched—the young people who have gained skills, the
women who have risen to leadership, and the communities that have been uplifted through our programmes. We are not resting on our laurels; the Fourth Industrial Revolution demands that we continue to
innovate, and that is exactly what we intend to do." — INSETA Chief Executive Officer, Gugu Mkhize said.
