A welcome and a wind-up

Andrew Bradley head of the fpi, says that financial planners are in the worlds most exciting profession, and second only in importance to doctors.

He was speaking at the annual fpi convention that is currently underway in Gauteng. With the increased prominence comes an increased focus from the regulators.

Planners have a fiduciary responsibility the fpi members are planners - not intermediaries to their clients. He claims that their responsibility is to their clients, not to the product providers.

Bradley says that this is even the case for those planners that work for product providers.
