Coming to the people
The LOA convention tomorrow promises to feature some interesting debate. FA News will be reporting on all the sessions.
As a taster the menu looks like this:
Jonathan Dixon from National Treasury will be on hand to talk about the discussion paper on contractual savings and other issues. Francois Opperman the assistant FAIS Ombud will be present to give his take on the issues facing the office.
To add some international flavour there is a speaker talking about whether the UK is a trend leader for what will happen in other countries, while closer to home Robert MacDonald will look at advice-based financial planning.
Richard Walker on the other hand will be looking at the role and value of advice in the low-income market and Gavin Came discusses the interaction between consumers, product providers and intermediaries.
