Mutual & Federal announces an executive resignation

Mutual & Federal has announced the resignation of Edward Paul, Executive for Risk, Actuarial and Underwriting effective 1 March 2014. Paul, who has been with the short-term insurer for 10 years, is leaving to join Absa as Chief Risk Officer in the Wealth, Investment Management and Insurance division.

The Chief Executive Officer says, ‘Edward's extensive knowledge of the short-term industry has been valuable to us in the 10 years he has been with Mutual & Federal, 2,5years was served on the executive committee. Since joining, Edward has established a fully-fledged actuarial and pricing capability, embedded solid risk management and compliance practices in the business. He also ensured we are on track in managing our capital effectively, in line with Solvency Assessment and Management (SAM)'.
