WesBank remains the best large company to work for in South Africa

For the second year running, WesBank has retained first place in the Deloitte’s Best Company to Work For survey in the Large Company category.

According to Brian Riley, WesBank CEO, “People are at the heart of our business and we are once again proud of this accolade.”

“2008 has been a challenging financial year for both the industry and the company. While there have been changes within WesBank, we have maintained our focus on our people and service excellence for our customers. The retention of this award sends a clear message about the commitment and calibre of our people,” said Riley.

As a company focused on service excellence, WesBank has adopted a culture of continuous improvement. “Our continued success depends on lifting our leadership and people management standards. This year’s results will provide insight into how well we delivered our people focus areas and provide direction in shaping future initiatives,” said Riley.

WesBank has already stated its interest in participating in the 2009 Deloitte’s campaign and thanked all its employees for participating in the 2008 survey. The WesBank leadership team thanked all ‘WesBankers’ for achieving the company’s ongoing goal of being an Employer of First Choice.
