VEA Risk Consultants Launch New Award at Indaba 2007

The first launch and introduction of this Company took place at the beautiful Mabalingwe Nature Reserve just outside Bela-Bela in November 2006.

The launch itself was a great success and was attended by Mr. Mike Dickinson (Managing Director) of Regent Insurance Company Ltd and his team. Since then the VEA Risk Consultants has gone from strength to strength.

VEA Risk Consultants, together with their Business Partner "Regent Insurance Company Ltd" launched their fourth Niche Insurance Product at one of the biggest Tourism Trade Shows in the world. The re-launch took place at the magnificent Hilton Hotel, facing the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban.

The invited guests were welcomed by Mr. Matie Barnard (CEO) of Venue Experts Africa, a dynamic and fast growing Hospitality Management Company. Thereafter, a short but informative presentation on all the Insurance Products was done by Mr. Johan R. Claassens (Marketing Manager) of VEA Risk Consultants.

Mr. Pim Bangert (National Broker Manager) of Regent Insurance Company Ltd informed all guests about the role that Regent will be playing in the Hospitality and Wildlife Industries. His presentation included all aspects of the Company, and he also informed the guests about the capabilities and reputation of this AA - global credit rated Insurance Company.

HOSPITALITY DIGS FOR DIAMONDS
FOR THE FIRST TIME the prestigious Diamond Award was presented by Mrs. Joan Jackson (Managing Director VEA Risk Consultants) and Mr. Pim Bangert (National Broker Manager Regent Insurance Company Ltd), to the Best Managed Accommodation Establishment, based on various criteria. The winner of the VEA Risk Consultants and Regent Insurance Company's Diamond Award for 2006 was LETSATSI GAME LODGE, situated in the Smithfield Area (Free State Province).
This sought after Award will be presented annually, at an Award Function.

Two new categories will be introduced as from next year namely Best Tour Operator and Best Wildlife Ranching Establishment.

After the formalities and Award Ceremony, the guests were treated to an exquisite buffet on the terrace of the Hilton Hotel, overlooking Durbans evening skyline.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS
It was mentioned by Mr. Johan R Claassens (Marketing Manager) of VEA Risk Consultants, that there are another two products on the drawing board. He did not want to mention them in detail, but he promised that it would be a great step forward in providing Insurance Cover and managing the risks in the Tourism, Hospitality & Wildlife Industries.

It was also announced that all the insurance products of VEA Risk Consultants could now be offered in Botswana and Lesotho. Whilst signing the agreement with Regent Botswana, VEA Risk Consultants, on the same day, secured an International Independent Insurance Broker House to sell their niche insurance products. Various product owners, including delegates from the Botswana Tourism Authority, and the Lesotho Tourism Authority, attended the evening.
