Leanne Jackson (formerly Dewey)

Leanne has been appointed Head of the “Treating Customers Fairly (TCF)” project at the FSB w.e.f. 1 February 2011

Currently she is Executive: Legal & Regulatory Affairs for Liberty Holdings. Her role encompasses a broad range of corporate legal accountabilities, including legal support to all Liberty Life business units.

Leanne has been extensively involved in representing the long-term insurance industry in the drafting and negotiation of many items of legislation, including FAIS, FICA, Consumer Protection, the Long-term Insurance Act and various regulations to the Long-term Insurance and Pension Funds Acts. She has been a member of the FAIS Advisory Committee, appointed by the Minister of Finance, since it was first established. Leanne has acted as Convenor of various industry association committees and is currently Liberty’s representative on the Regulatory Affairs Board Committee of ASISA. She is also Convenor of ASISA’s sub-committee on FAIS.

Andrew Coutts

Andrew is Head: National Brokers and Portfolio Management for Santam. In this capacity, Andrew is responsible for Santam’s strategic relationships with National Brokers and the management and growth of an outsourced personal lines portfolio in excess of R3 billion.

Andrew joined Santam from FNB Insurance Brokers in August 2009 where he was Managing Director of FNBIB’s Commercial Division. Andrew has experience as both a broker and an insurer and is integrally involved in the formulation and development of Santam’s response to proposed legislative amendments and the implementation of new legislative requirements.
