JBA and Reinsurance Solutions join forces to support African insurers for flood risk management

Today JBA Flood Risk Management Limited announced its collaboration with Reinsurance Solutions Intermediary Services (RSIS), an African-based reinsurance broker that will use the JBA global flood modelling capability to provide flood risk analytics and catastrophe modelling services for its insurance clients across Africa.

Small, Medium and Micro Enterprises (SMMEs) grappling with the impact of the recent devastating riots and looting in South Africa will be able to access free legal resources and a complimentary one-hour virtual consultation with an attorney. This is thanks to an initiative by legal technology company, LexisNexis South Africa, and NGO, ProBono.Org, which works with the private legal profession to provide pro bono legal services to the poor and vulnerable.

Sanlam and UCT partner to support actuarial students

Sanlam and the University of Cape Town (UCT) announced today that they have entered into an agreement to relaunch the Actuarial Science Support and Advice Desk. The Actuarial Science Support and Advice Desk provides free learning and psychosocial support to UCT students studying actuarial science.
