Old Mutual launches Online Share Trading
Old Mutual customers can now trade shares o¬nline through an initiative between Old Mutual and BoE Private Clients. (BoE Private Clients is a joint venture subsidiary between Old Mutual and Nedbank). Real-time trading in all securities o¬n the Johannesburg Stock Exchange is possible via an internet-based trading system from Old Mutual's website (www.oldmutual.co.za/personal/online-share-trading.aspx)
According to Peter McGregor, Executive General Manager at Old Mutual, the e-trading market in South Africa is growing at a fast pace. "Consumer research shows that our customers want to interact directly with us. By providing an e-trading facility we are offering clients just that. It is also another step in Old Mutual's goal to champion savings and investment in South Africa," McGregor says.
Old Mutual o¬nline Share Trading offers customers the opportunity to build and personally manage their own investment portfolio. Customers can register a trading account with BoE Stockbrokers, which will fulfil the role of the registered JSE broking member. Instructions will be executed through a secure network connection. BoE Stockbrokers will also provide customers with investment and trading information to assist them with their investment decisions.
