Offshore capacity for rand-denominated offshore funds is now available in all Allan Gray life and retirement products

Effective today, Allan Gray announced that offshore capacity is now available in all Allan Gray life and retirement products. More specifically these include the Allan Gray Retirement Annuity, Pension Preservation Fund, Provident Preservation Fund, Living Annuity and Endowment. Investors with any of these products can now opt to select any of the Allan Gray rand-denominated offshore funds available on Allan Gray’s LISP as an underlying investment. These funds include the Allan Gray-Orbis Global Fund of Funds and the Allan Gray-Orbis Global Equity Feeder Fund which investors can also buy as standalone unit trust investments from Allan Gray.

As you know, offshore capacity can and does vary, and so this is subject to change. The foreign capacity in the Retirement Annuity Fund for example is available on a restricted basis in order to share available capacity more equitably. Investors are allowed a maximum of 40% of their account in rand-denominated offshore funds.
