Interns

As of 2018, nearly half the baby boomer generation - those born between 1946 and 1960 - have reached the full retirement age of 66. This change in the workforce presents both challenges and opportunities for businesses. It is important that organisations are prepared, to ensure they can face the challenges head-on and seize the opportunities.

Natsure CEO announced on Monday 18 March 2019 “I am please to announce the launch of our intern programme. As part of our vision and strategy we are committed to the Short-Term Insurance Industry and in creating a sustainable and well-educated industry”

Through our internship program Natsure will give young individuals the opportunity to gain work experience, to be exposed to the business environment and to learn more about the Short Term Insurance industry and hopefully be integrated into the system after 12 months.

“I am very excited to announce that we have finalized our interview process for the appointment of 2 intern positions within Natsure. We have appointed 2 interns and they will commence their 12-month internship with Natsure on Monday the 18th of March 2019. This is yet another first for Natsure and forms part of our Transforming Insurance strategy” Davey said.

The interns will work on a planned programme for 12 months which will provide them with insight into the various departments that make up the specialist short term insurance UMA including Finance, IT, Operations, Marketing, Underwriting, Claims and the various specialist classes of Insurance that Natsure currently offers.

There is a significant skill shortage for future succession in the insurance industry within South Africa. To promote a thriving insurance industry, it is essential that we start attracting, nurturing and retaining young talent. This internship programme hopes to build future succession with the required skills, knowledge and experience to sustain and contribute towards the future insurance community and economy.
