New logo identifies Skandia as part of the Old Mutual family
Skandia Group, the leading provider of long-term savings solutions acquired by Old Mutual plc in 2006, yesterday announced the rollout of a new brand that visibly identifies Skandia as part of the Old Mutual family.
Skandia's new logo, effective from January 2008, unites the brands of Skandia internationally and is designed to reflect the group's vision of becoming the premier open architecture investment provider in its chosen markets.
With growing customer preference for transparency and flexibility, open architecture platforms are expected to grow at a faster rate than the traditional life assurance market. Skandia is a leader in this field and its ability to structure services and products in line with new customer demands is inherent in a clear brand promise to "enable intelligent investment choice".
Skandia's core market is Europe (notably the UK, Germany, Italy, France and Sweden), with plans to expand operations in Latin America.
Julian Roberts Chief Executive of Skandia and Old Mutual Director for Europe, said:
"This is the first time Skandia will have a uniform logo in all parts of the company. It shows our combined strength and commitment to deliver attractive financial service solutions everywhere we operate. We see an exciting and growing future for Skandia, and the new logo represents a modern, approachable style that reflects the groups reputation for innovation in savings and investments. "
The new logo and green branding will be rolled outover an 18-month period, with all divisions of the group using it by June 2009.
