Mutual & Federal Agri supports school boy rugby and the agricultural sector

Mutual & Federal Agri is proud to be a sponsor and partner of both Hoër Landbouskool Oakdale and Boland Landbou, who will be playing against each other in the Premier Interschools series in August later this year. The Interschools have been taking place since 1987; Mutual & Federal has been proudly involved for the past 19 years.

These two premier agricultural schools, groom and develop young boys into being accomplished and knowledgeable young men who can farm and continue the proud heritage of South African agriculture. As a responsible and involved corporate it would be short sighted for us not to support the great efforts these schools put in developing agriculture in our country.
Both schools feature in the top 20 rugby schools every year and are regular participants in all the premier school tournaments and Mutual & Federal has partnerships in place with both schools.

Oakdale hosts a Mutual & Federal Agri rugby week during the April school holidays, which has grown to be larger than the Craven week. Boland hosts a pre-season Mutual & Federal Agri rugby day where schools from all over the Western Cape have the opportunity to hone their skills and prepare for the season ahead. Both these schools are seen as key in their regions for school sports and rugby in particular and academically they continuously have learners who are amongst the Western Cape’s top students.

Being highly successful farms in their own right and actively participating in agriculture, the schools share their excellent facilities with the agricultural sector and serve as innovation and technical hubs for the industry. Their learners participate actively in agriculture and also form the backbone of the National Youth Show. Representing the Western Province on a national level these pupils are the stock farmers and pedigree farmers of the future ensuring excellence in agriculture.

Supporting the agriculture and sport in our country is a key to Mutual & Federal Agri playing its part as a responsible corporate citizen.
