Masthead partners with Auto & General Insurance

Masthead Distribution Services, a company that supports the independent financial advisor, recently selected Auto & General Insurance as its first short-term insurance product provider.

The partnership was signed and sealed this month at an impressive event held at The Saxon Hotel.

Commenting on the partnership, Lars Forssman, director of Auto & Generals Broker Division says: Our partnership with Masthead means that we are able to offer our innovative product portfolio to an additional 2000 brokers. Not only will this partnership enhance their value proposition, but it will also give them access to a reliable and solid national infrastructure. The partnership also gives Masthead members, who are not accredited to sell or advise on short-term insurance, access to our efficient and effective products and services.

Mastheads members will be able to propose Auto & General as an insurer of choice, secure in the knowledge that they are proposing an insurer that is committed to service excellence. A year ago we launched our Service Charter, which was created out of Auto & Generals desire to continually improve levels of service, ensuring the fulfillment of the clients right to excellent service at all times. To date, the Service Charter has had a very positive spin-off for brokers and their clients, and we believe that it will benefit Masthead members tremendously, says Forssman.

Peter Dempsey, Masthead managing director, says it is Mastheads aim to expand its product offering to benefit its members by entering into partnerships with providers who can add substantial value. Mastheads other product providers are Old Mutual, Sanlam, Liberty Life, Metropolitan Odyssey and Old Mutual Bank.

By boosting Mastheads support to independent brokers through a partnership with Auto & General, we enable our members to improve their service offering to clients, says Dempsey. This will ultimately benefit clients as the partnership enhances continued independent advice.

Masthead is the largest support network for independent financial advisors. In addition to providing quality product offerings, services to members include practice development, product marketing and advice on compliance issues.
