Lion of Africa Insurance celebrated the opening of its new head office in Sandton on 7 July 2011. Attending the glamorous affair was an eclectic mix of Johannesburg’s business elite, insurance industry associations, brokers, clients and staff.

Lion of Africa Insurance CEO, Adam Samie, officially opened the event, speaking candidly about the company’s humble beginnings and thanking all parties that had played a role in positioning the company as one of South Africa’s leading short-term insurers.

Non-Executive Chairman of Lion of Africa Insurance and co-founder of Brimstone, Fred Robertson, was also in attendance and delivered a speech about the company’s future prospects and congratulated all role players on the significant achievement of becoming the country’s first Level 1 B-BBEE short-term insurer.

“The event was a fitting tribute to the success that we have enjoyed to date, as well as a sincere thank you to all parties that have supported us on our journey. We now have a head office fitting of our brand which is located in the heart of South Africa’s financial district. Our new footprint will ensure that our company goes from strength-to-strength, cementing our position as of the country’s leading insurers,” said Samie.
