Liberty's Mind My Money programme helps people on their journey to financial freedom

31 August 2022 Liberty

Liberty will be offering its popular Mind My Money financial education programme as part of the upcoming Money Smart Week to help people make the most of their money in these turbulent economic times. The programme is run by financial experts who understand the importance of financial literacy, the expansion of the economic landscape and the individual's perception on finances. Participants will be offered tips, insights, and resources to help them reimagine their financial journey with newly found confidence.

"We are thrilled that so many people in 2020 and 2021 were willing to take part on the online learning platform and hope that in 2022 each and every one of them, and others, will use their newfound financial skills to transform their lives and improve their financial confidence for years to come" says Nomaxabiso Matjila, Head of CSI at Liberty.

While the threat of COVID-19 has receded and restrictions have been lifted, many people are still struggling with their money in the wake of high inflation, and that has put a strain on most pockets.
"We provide the tools for you to start on an empowering journey towards fulfilling your dreams and building the wealth you want for yourself and your family. All you need to do is commit to the programme, set your financial goals and see them through" says Matjila.

The Mind My Money programme has always been a cornerstone of Liberty’s commitment to education in the form of financial literacy. It has taught people across the country how to budget, save, and of course, mind their money.
Subjects covered include understanding your income, how to budget, understanding the world economy and much more. Learning how to spend wisely, budgeting and finding quick wins in terms of monthly savings can apply to anyone, including people who think they’re on top of their finances, even if it’s just to remind you that you can always turn to a Financial Adviser to help. The 3rd Money Smart Week South Africa will take place between 29 August – 4 September 2022.
