Launch of a major new independent investment consulting business

Rezco, a specialised investment group, has announced that it is expanding with the addition of an independent new investment consulting business, led by the former head of investment consulting at Old Mutual Actuaries & Consultants (OMAC).

Rezco Investment Consulting (RIC) is headed up by Windall Bekker, former Head of Investment Consulting at OMAC and Jann Krynauw, former Senior Investment Consultant at OMAC, who together consulted on more than R120 billion of assets.

Bekker says that although Rezco’s asset management business has won both Raging Bull and Morningstar awards and offers some of the best performing funds in the market, one of the key considerations in joining the group was the fact that RIC will be an independent investment consulting business. “There are two distinct forms of investment consulting expertise – independent consulting or implemented consulting – and we strongly believe that an independent business enables the consultants to put the interests of the clients first.

He says, a further reason that attracted him to the Rezco Group is the company’s fundamental philosophy of preserving capital, whilst creating wealth.”This philosophy, along with Rezco’s approach of putting the interests of clients first, closely mirrors Jann and my values,” says Bekker.

He says RIC has already attained significant new business in the investment consulting space. “We are able to offer clients advice that is completely independent, ensuring that we are able to deliver strategies that are most appropriate to their needs.

Bekker says his priority at RIC is to ensure that all clients are given the best advice for their specific needs to ensure the long term sustainability of their investments, whilst at the same time doing so with greater efficiencies to maximise the return on investment.
