PPS Insurance, the only insurance company that caters specifically for graduate professionals, will continue to play a role in building a strong graduate professional base in 2008 through its commitment to education, skills development and training.

"With the annual PPS Chairman's Scholarship and Bursary Awards we are not only helping to build a nation, but we are helping to support potential employees, clients and above all fellow graduate professionals," says Mike Jackson, CEO of PPS Insurance.

Students from universities throughout South Africa can now apply for the 2008 PPS Chairman's Scholarship and Bursary Awards. One student with outstanding academic performance will be awarded a scholarship that covers books, accommodation and tuition fees to the value of R30,000. PPS Insurance will further grant up to 20 bursaries of R10,000 each to students, based on financial need. Eligibility criteria and application forms are available on www.pps.co.za.

With its undertaking to grow the skills and competencies of future generations, PPS Insurance awarded over R1,5m in scholarships and bursaries to students studying towards a professional career at universities throughout South Africa, since the awards inception in 1999.

"Education is crucial to growing capacity and achieving sustainability both in society and in business. It is in this sector that PPS Insurance can make a real difference," says Jackson.
