Enhanced Africa UltraCare plan designed to meet the needs of the African market

International private medical insurer InterGlobal has made a significant commitment to building its African business by enhancing its Africa UltraCare plan, appointing a new Business Development Manager and Executive for Africa and relocating its regional office to the South African business hub of Centurion. The moves, coupled with InterGlobal’s decision to restrict its annual increase in premium to well below the rate of medical inflation, are designed to position the business for further growth throughout the continent.

Africa UltraCare enhancements

Africa UltraCare is specifically designed for expatriates, international travellers and businesspeople in Africa. It is one of InterGlobal’s range of regional plans designed to meet the local needs of policyholders, wherever they are in Africa. Africa UltraCare is available as both individual and group plans. InterGlobal focuses on offering excellent value to its members at a competitive price and recently announced its annual premium increase for 2013 at 5%, well under the level of medical inflation. It has also extended the benefits and plan limits on Africa UltraCare at no additional cost to members.

The Africa UltraCare plan enhancements for 2013 are:

• Immediate cover for HIV/AIDS with the limit doubled to US$10,000 on Africa UltraCare Select and Comprehensive.
• Overall plan limits increased to US$150,000, US$250,000 and US$500,000 on Africa UltraCare Standard, Select and Comprehensive respectively.
• Wellness benefit increased to US$150 and US$250 on Africa UltraCare Select and Comprehensive respectively.
• Eye examination benefit increased to US$50 on Africa UltraCare Select and Comprehensive.
