Glenrand MIB receives "A" rating from EmpowerDEX

Insurance broking and benefit consulting group Glenrand M.I.B has received a BEE rating of A from EmpowerDEX.
 
Glenrand M.I.B empowerment shareholders are the Makulong Employee Ownership Scheme Trust (4.90%), Kunene Bros. Holdings (5.80%), Kunene Finance Company (5.40%), Ayavuna Womens Investments (5.80%), Matemeku Investments (5,80%)  The group scored points for the inclusion of black staff as a broad-based shareholder.

Chairman and acting CEO Dr Dudu Kunene says the positive EmpowerDEX rating is recognition of the work done so far in transforming the group. Glenrand M.I.B has demonstrated its commitment to transformation in South Africa, both at the shareholder level and throughout the group. We therefore regard this rating as an acknowledgement of our achievements to date.

The groups most senior executive is Dr Dudu Kunene, while one-third of other senior managers are black.
