First Link rebranded as FNB Insurance Brokers
Nationally represented First Link Insurance Brokers has taken on a new brand identity FNB Insurance Brokers.
The company is a longstanding member of the FirstRand financial services group and will continue to operate as an autonomous business unit offering short-term insurance products and services. Its corporate logo has been changed to emphasise the link with the FNB, one of the countrys strongest financial service brands.
Barry Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of FNB Insurance Brokers, noted: "The change enables us to take advantage of a well-established and strong brand that enjoys extremely positive noting with both the general consumer and the business community.
"Going forward, we intend to leverage this brand recognition to secure even broader market share in both personal lines and commercial business.
Service delivery, corporate culture and our autonomy as an independent business within the FirstRand group are unaffected by the change. Additional plus factors include the strong buy-in from our own staff and the positive response tracked by our pre-change research.
Research among the short-term brokers core customer-base, among clients referred by FNB and consumers in general confirmed strong, positive recognition of the overall FNB brand and its How can we help you? proposition. No negatives were apparent, though existing customers sought reassurance that the companys strong service culture would be further entrenched.
Barry Taylor added: Strategic benefits are considerable as we continue our process of long-term acquisitive and organic growth.
The identity change became effective on 1 November. The new logo, corporate signage and stationery are currently being phased in across the national branch network of FNB Insurance Brokers.
