This month Fedhealth announced its partnership with local sports marketing specialists, Stillwater Sport & Entertainment. In terms of the partnership Fedhealth will act as the official medical insurance partner at 9 of the Stillwater Sport & Entertainment MTB and Trail Run events.

"Our commitment to over 74 000 principal members is to provide Real Medical Aid with a range of smart healthcare options that adapt with every stage of life," says Peter Jordan, Principal Officer of Fedhealth. "At Fedhealth we understand that not everyone uses a gym as part of a fitness programme. From mountain biking to trail running and triathlons - there's a whole new outdoor fitness movement that continues to grow. That's why we've partnered with Stillwater Sport & Entertainment to encourage our members to participate in these events during 2014.

The series of events support our overall philosophy of "health and wellness first". At Fedhealth we believe that your health, body, level of fitness and happiness is a long-term investment that will pay dividends in the long-term, provided you put in the initial investment. Therefore, with this exciting series of nine events, we promise to get the adrenalin pumping, by helping our members get fit and in shape as they push their own boundaries and join us at some of our country's finest outdoor locations".

Jordan says Fedhealth is trying to encourage more of its members to push themselves outside of a "health and wellness" comfort zone by participating in challenging outdoor events that promote improved lifestyle choices. "We would like participants to return home with a sense of accomplishment and a positive resolve to continue staying fit, keeping active and remaining healthy," concludes Jordan.
