During 2007 Grameenphone, Bangladesh's largest mobile network operator with over 20 million subscribers, implemented the C-track Fleet Management systems across its entire fleet of over 660 corporate vehicles utilised to transport senior staff and utilised in business operations. The main objective was to reduce operational costs by maximising vehicle usage and availability, thus also optimising the over usage of rental vehicles. A second objective was to improve driver behavior and ensure that their managerial staff was not exposed to reckless and dangerous behavior.

Utilising C-track information a state of the art call centre was set up to monitor and manage their fleet according to set key performance indicators. Grameenphone over a 12 month period, achieved a total operational saving of around $3 million USD.

This was mainly due to improvements in the following key areas: minimal usage of rental vehicles (66%), lower maintenance costs (17%), and fuel consumption (16%), as well as reduced over time claims (1%).
