BrightRock partners Dan Nicholl and SuperSport to bring change-friendly chat show to SA screens

Wednesday evenings take on a light-hearted touch as The Dan Nicholl Show, premieres on TV screens tonight, 1 April 2015 at 20:30 on SuperSport 1. Dynamic life insurance player, BrightRock, has partnered SuperSport and celebrated presenter Dan Nicholl to bring this fun and informative new talk show – where Change is always on the menu – to South African viewers.

Each week a trio of guests from the entertainment, lifestyle and sporting worlds will join Nicholl in-studio for a show that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and will raise a smile from some of our nation’s more familiar faces.

The show debuts with a stellar line-up – MasterChef judge Pete Goffe-Wood, former Springbok captain Francois Pienaar, and former Bafana Bafana striker Shaun Bartlett, with cameo appearances from comedian Stuart Taylor, and model and surfer Roxy Louw.

Nicholl says with the show’s debut, he has finally landed his dream job: “I first shot a pilot with the idea of my show 13 years ago, so it’s taken a while to get here. Hopefully it’ll finally stop my mum telling me to get a real job!

“The show wouldn’t be possible without the support of BrightRock and SuperSport, who’ve both bought into my television dream with great enthusiasm,” added Nicholl. “So it’s really their fault that you’ve got me on television every week.”

The 26-minute show will include a three-minute insert in each episode, giving the show the chance to include special guests such as new European Ryder Cup captain Darren Clarke, and Ethiopian running legend Haile Gebrselassie. The inserts, along with highlights and unseen material from the show, will all be available on the show’s social media channels after each week’s episode.

“We’re excited to be involved with this brand-new talk show, which will also create a platform for well-known sports stars and media personalities to reflect on the big Change Moments in their lives”,  said BrightRock’s Suzanne Stevens.

“BrightRock’s needs-matched insurance changes as people’s lives change – but we understand big changes come with more than just a financial impact. So we’re always open to opportunities to talk about Change,” Stevens says.

“The Dan Nicholl Show is all about ringing the changes, on so many levels, and providing new perspectives on the guests. That’s very much what we’re doing at BrightRock, with our needs-matched life insurance introducing a fresh new approach to our industry.”
