CIB rock IISA conference
An innovative new idea to incorporate a bestselling music video game into their stand, saw CIB Insurance Solutions (CIB) scoop top honours for the best first time exhibitor award at the 2010 IISA/Fia/SAIA Conference. By creating an interactive and fun exhibition, CIB managed to gain maximum exposure with their Beatles Rockband Star theme competition which ran throughout the duration of the conference.
According to Frans Nel, Marketing Director at CIB, the overwhelming success of the exhibition and the hugely positive response to the concept has resulted in CIB looking at developing more experiential marketing initiatives such as this one in the future. “The idea behind the Beatles Rockband concept was to create a visually appealing stand that stood out from the rest and it was a great way in which to attract visitors and make it an interactive and memorable experience.”
Rockband is an enormously popular music video Sony PS3 game in which players use a guitar to simulate the chords played in each song.
“As CIB’s first year as an exhibitor in which we partnered with Cover magazine, we were immensely honoured by winning the Best New Exhibitor award and of being in the company of so many other great stands,” said Nel. “The concept proved to be a great success and we were very pleased with the outcome.”
