CIB Insurance Solutions assures those less fortunate
This week, leading insurance administrator, CIB Insurance Solutions who recently launched their new Corporate Identity, took time from their busy schedules to help those less fortunate as part of the companies' Corporate Social Investment initiative.
CIB Insurance Solutions is divided into four divisions, each of whom have been given an allocated amount of money to spend on uplifting, educating or assisting with a chosen community's healthcare needs. This quarter the Commercial Division took time out to care for the orphaned animals of the Kempton Park SPCA and hosted a fun day for the Kathorus Children and Family Organisation to bring some Christmas spirit home.
On Tuesday, 28 November, 7 members from the Commercial Division headed to the animal care centre and aside from being laden with bags full of old clothes collected to raise funds for the animal shelter, tinned food, blankets to keep the animals warm; went to help wash and walk the abandoned dogs. CIB has also sponsored two of the kennels for a full year and offered the ladies who work in the cramped and stuffy office a brand new fan. On Friday, 1st December, CIB hosted a fun day at their office premises in Bedfordview for the orphaned children from the Thokoza based Kathorus Children and Family Organization complete with 'boerie' rolls, jumping castles and a SAPS dog display.
Staff from the Commercial Division commented, "Getting involved in initiatives like these has been really emotional for all involved. A lesson we have taken away with us is to NEVER take anything for granted and to realize how lucky we are." Lizette Loots and Neil Harvey continued, "We look forward to planning our next CSI initiative and know that regardless of how 'small' our contribution may seem in the greater scheme of things, we know it meant the world of difference to the Kempton Park SPCA and the Kathorus Children and Family Home."
