CIB anounce one of South Africa's biggest financial houses as nationwide broker

CIB Insurance Solutions has announced that Absa Group Limited, one of South Africa's largest financial services organisations, serving personal, commercial and corporate customers in South Africa, as a National broker. "CIB is the most comprehensive partner in their offering of commercial and industrial solutions for virtually all our needs" says Theo van Huyssteen, National Sales Leader, ABSA Short Term Insurance. "With a large national footprint, CIB offers excellent sales service to our team of Absa brokers."

CIB was appointed by Hollard to provide Commercial short term business insurance solutions to ABSA Brokers and has been engaging members through a nationwide road show. The road show was initiated to inform brokers of who CIB are and the service they offer to the Commercial short-term insurance sectors that encompass CIB Agricultural Policies, CIB's Engineering Cover and CIB's Hospitality Cover.

JonJon Smit, National Sales Manager for CIB said of the announcement, "Absa Brokers generate in excess of R1.4 billion in annual premiums and are currently the biggest broker in South Africa. Our three year goal is to acquire 10% of Absa's 180 current brokers business which we aim to achieve through our direct marketing activities and broker relationship initiatives."
