C-track is the preferred GPS Fleet Management Solution for the Palm Oil Industry, Malaysia

Palm oil represents about 18% of the world's vegetable oil production and an important source of biofuels with a yearly export value of USD$18bn.

With over 180 vehicles installed with the C-track fleet management solution in Malaysia, Indonesia and Papa New Guinea, producing about 85% of the world's supply, C-track is the preferred choice amongst the major Palm Oil producers.

Singaporean based CTP Holdings, part of the USA food and agriculture giant Cargill, and Malaysian based conglomerate Sime Darby have selected the C-track system to meet key operational requirements such as real time monitoring and journey management. Other benefits include improved driver behavior and safety, reduced theft loses and ongoing productivity improvements.

Bart van Dongen, MD of C-track Indonesia with its head office in Jakarta, Indonesia, comments that there is a strong need for the palm oil industry in the Asia Pacific region to achieve greater productivity and control. Michael Kok, VP Sime Darby, wants to limit illegal siphoning activities by monitoring 'hot spot' areas across Malaysia, as theft cost the industry USD $100mil in losses in 2008, and to ensure that fleet owners benefit from improved operational efficiencies. C-track Malaysia, with its head office in Kuala Lumpur has been working in collaboration with transporters to map out critical areas and travel routes across Malaysia.
