Aon South Africa acquires Dynam-ique Consultants and Actuaries

The recent acquisition of Dynam-ique, a relatively small but strong administrator in South Africa’s Retirement Funding arena, has strengthened Aon South Africa’s footprint in the Employee Benefits administration market.

“The acquisition of Dynam-ique will allow us to expand our offering in this market, as well as build capacity and brand awareness,” says Athene van Mazijk (picured right), CEO of Aon South Africa, a leading provider of risk management services, insurance and reinsurance brokerage, human capital management consulting and specialty insurance underwriting.

As an administration only business, Dynam-ique adds another string to the Aon bow. This market has previously been untapped by Aon, as such business is typically placed by independent brokers who may otherwise have been competitors to Aon. “The intention is to migrate the Dynam-ique business onto the Aon administration platform,” says Van Mazijk. “This is an exciting time in Retirement Funding and this acquisition adds to the current member base, building the economies of scale being sought by Aon. This important step is the first of what we hope will be more to come.”

The 20 employees at Dynam-ique will remain in their current Parktown offices until late April when they will be joining the rest of the Johannesburg-based team at The Place, No 1 Sandton Drive.
