Alexander Forbes' LCP wins
Alexander Forbes' LCP wins actuarial consultancy of the year for the third year in a row and investment consultancy of the Year
Alexander Forbes Limited subsidiary Lane Clark & Peacock LLP (LCP), the actuarial and benefits consultancy based in the UK, has won the actuarial consultancy of the year award for an unprecedented third year running at the prestigious UK Pensions Awards held in London. LCP also won the Investment Consultancy category.
The firm was selected by the judges for the decisive role it has played in helping its pension fund clients manage their pension schemes and investment assets.
The company's new 'Prudence Index', launched in November last year, was singled out for special praise. It provides trustees and employers with an indicator of the prudence of their schemes funding and investment strategy relative to other pension schemes, in the context of the strength of the employers covenant.
Other noteworthy developments included the firm's new Trustee Governance Consulting practice to help pension trustees operate effectively and meet their scheme governance obligations, and the offer of separate investment consultants to manage the investment requirements for trustees and corporate clients.
Peter Moyo the Group Chief Executive of Alexander Forbes said "To win the actuarial consultancy award for three years running considering the stiff competition from our rivals is a fantastic achievement and testimony to the hard work of all our staff.
I am very pleased for the investment team who won their first award. LCP has been retained by several new clients in this area and its marvellous that the UK Pensions Awards judges have recognised the high quality of the team.
The UK Pensions Awards are widely recognised as the industrys flagship awards ceremony. The judging panel was chaired by Professional Pensions editor Len Roberts and included industry leaders such as National Association of Pension Funds chief executive Joanne Segars and Pensions Management Institute chief executive Vince Linnane.
