A tribute to Lewis Chesler
Our industry has lost a man of significance in the passing of Lewis Chesler. A forgotten hero that was instrumental for a number of industry breaking initiatives throughout his career as an agent and independent Financial Advisor.
Lewis served as the President of LUASA (Life Underwriters Association - now part of the FIA) in 1994 and 1995 and served the industry on other committees and bodies, always giving freely of his time and intellect. He was fearless in representing his peers on matters affecting their independence, demanding the respect of all stakeholders. His infectious enthusiasm will be remembered.
Lewis leaves his wife Erica, sons Martin and Russell and step children Adrienne, Simone and Gerard. He will be sorely missed by all who know him.
