The Healthcare Leadership Incubator is an initiative by the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa (BHF) to develop and support middle management in the healthcare industry to hone strategic thinking around industry issues by providing a platform to network with industry peers and to learn from some of South Africa’s top business minds.

The current leaner, tougher business environment is driving managers to acquire stronger skills and gain a deeper understanding of the key strategic issues facing business and industry. The forums provide an opportunity for managers to interact and learn from some of the brightest business minds in South Africa, opportunities that are typically limited to C-Suite execs. The healthcare industry in South Africa is facing tremendous and fundamental changes, so it is vital to develop and empower our middle managers and to step up as the future leaders who will be responsible for the sustainability of the private healthcare industry and the South Africans that it serves.

The BHF Healthcare Leadership Incubators are designed for managers to openly debate and discuss key issues and challenges in the workplace and the industry, promote and share ideas, and identify areas that they can improve on. Each session is hosted by mentors and business people from within and outside the healthcare industry who share their insights and counsel on burning industry issues, regulation and business challenges, as well as how their own career journeys have evolved. Networking, mentorship and encouraging collaboration will be the focus in an industry that needs astute and strategically competent people to take it forward in time of increased economic and regulatory uncertainty, technological advancements and changing consumer paradigms.

Managers in the Healthcare industry are encouraged to reserve their seats as space is limited. For more information contact Mary Manamela at the BHF on marym@bhfglobal.com or call 011 537 0270.
