18 May 2018 | People and Companies | Events

African Insurance Exchange Conference 29 July – 01 August 2018, Sun City

THE 45th ANNUAL INSURANCE CONFERENCE LINE UP IS OUT OF THIS WORLD

The conference promises to be passion brewing in order to give those in attendance fresh vigour on how to achieve the best within the insurance industry as well as how to activate the connections made during the three days in conference for optimal partnerships. The conference organisers have gone to great lengths to bring you only the best in the line up. This year’s MC is the famous Gugu Mfuphi ( previously Cele). Gugu is a seasoned MC and the host of KayaBizz a business show on Kaya Fm, she is also a senior anchor and financial journalist at CNBC Africa and therefore no stranger to the financial industry.

Since stepping away from the limelight as public protector, most South Africans have been secretly craving a bit of Thuli Madonsela magic. The insurance industry will have its own exclusive moment with her closing off at the upcoming Annual Insurance Conference, to the envy of the entire country. Thuli will be speaking on a “New Dawn for Africa” in keeping with this year’s theme “African Insurance Exchange”. Her message does not only promise to be positive but it will definitely be inspirational with an aim to ignite and perhaps even reignite the flame for this industry in the hearts of all in attendance.

As if this was not enough, we have taken it one step further and gotten Vusi Thembekwayo to grace and host the farewell cocktail. Vusi is the one network connection you do not want to miss. He has been making waves within the industry since the age of 25. He is not only a prolific speaker but he is relevant to the point of the cocktail which is to allow the industry to make impactful, meaningful and lasting connections.

The conference as a whole has a lot in store, it promises to bring out of the box thinking in order to tap into new frontiers within the industry. The first day, Sunday 29 July will be relaxed yet packed with registrations and a game of golf.  On Monday the likes of MunichRe Chairman of the Board of Management, Joachim Wenning will officially kickstart the conference for us, setting the tone for the conference. On Tuesday, Karima Brown, veteran and seasoned journalist at Independent Media will engage in a political analysis of the country and its impact on the economy.

The conference promises to be a lot of things, but above all else it promises to realign perceptions and fashion a more constructive impact for future visitors. We look forward to welcoming you at the African Insurance Exchange.
