05 June 2024 AIE

The annual African Insurance Exchange is around the corner! The conference will be held on 21 to 24 July 2024 at Sun City and via live stream.

We asked a few sponsors to let us know what they are most looking forward to at this year’s conference.

Charles Nortje – Interim MD, Old Mutual Insure

Old Mutual Insure has been participating in the African Insurance Exchange for several decades. Our long-term participation underscores our commitment to industry advancement and our desire to be at the forefront of new developments.

The conference has been instrumental in helping us communicate our vision and values, and it provides a unique opportunity to learn from peers and experts.

This year, we are honoured to be a Platinum sponsor of the Digital Hub for the third consecutive year. In addition to our sponsorship, we will have a number of OMI staff attending the conference. Our team will actively participate in various sessions, panels, and networking events, ensuring that we not only contribute to the dialogue but also bring back valuable insights to our organisation.

We see the conference as a vital event for the insurance industry as it provides a comprehensive platform for learning, collaboration and innovation. It gathers industry professionals from diverse backgrounds, enabling a rich exchange of knowledge and best practices. This is crucial for addressing the complex challenges facing the industry today.

I am particularly excited about the conference presentations and panel discussions. These sessions are always thought-provoking and offer deep insights into the future of the industry. The energy and inspiration gained from these interactions are invaluable for our ongoing efforts to drive innovation and excellence within our organisation.

This is the third consecutive year that Standard Bank Insurance Brokers is a co-sponsor of the event. We will once again be co-sponsoring the gala dinner. In addition this year, we are co-sponsoring media for the event.

We also have two speakers representing the brand who will be part of the panel discussions on reimagining life insurance, and operational resilience in a changing environment.

The AIE is a fantastic platform to bring critical thought on issues that impact our industry and customers. Beyond enabling an environment for learning and insights sharing, this is a platform to showcase exemplary leadership and exchange ideas to best serve our customers and improve operational efficiencies in our business, while building solid connections.

We are looking forward to panel discussions from the various experts who will shine a light on how we future-proof and bring greater relevance of our industry in the products we offer and services we provide to improve the customer experience.
