PROFIDA's modern technology keeps it a step a head

23 July 2014 | People and Companies | Events | PROFIDA

The PROFIDA Team will be exhibiting again at the annual insurance conference, hosted jointly by the Financial Intermediaries Association (FIA), the Insurance Institute of South Africa (IISA) and the South African Insurance Association (SAIA) at Sun City from 27 to 29 July 2014.

The PROFIDA Team is a technology leader in insurance management, policy administration and financial needs analysis software.

At the PROFIDA stand delegates will have the opportunity to use their own mobile devices to experience how quick it is to access policyholder and broker data without any prior installation or integrations. Says Daniel Putra, managing director of the PROFIDA Team, “Delegates can bring any of their mobile devices, including laptops, iPhone, Android Smartphone, iPad or tablets, to our stand where we will facilitate a demonstration login, which allows to access examples of policy and broker data within PROFIDA via their already installed web browser.  It is that easy.”

“As a technology leader it was important for us to enable PROFIDA on mobile devices without having to install or integrate with a special mobile application, which would complicate the life of our users“.

Most insurance management and policy administration software requires users to first install an application on their laptops and phones before they can view or access data.

“We also made sure that the kind of operating system or web browser used on devices would not affect our mobile offering”, adds Putra.

This, he says, is particularly important for users of iPhones, iPads and Apple laptops, who often are left out as their mobile devices run on systems other than MS Windows. Many insurance management and policy administration software systems cater only for devices using mainstream MS Windows platforms.

In a further development, PROFIDA’s current claims facility has been extended to tie in with PROFIDA’s SMS functionality.

This means that SMS messages are automatically sent to policyholders at different stages of the claims process.  A customisable SMS message is automatically triggered when a claim is registered, followed by messages when the claim is, for example, authorised or settled.
