Compli-Serve SA, in conjunction with Novation Consulting and UCT Law@work presents…
The Protection of Personal Information Act (PoPIA) with speaker Elizabeth de Stadler
11 May 2021 @ 10:00 am - 12:30 (SA time)
A couple of weeks ago, we woke up to a doom’s day clock on the Information Regulator’s website counting down from 100 days until POPIA is enforceable (from 1 July 2021). In the meantime, the Information Regulator is issuing media releases and guidance notes left, right and centre.
During the session, Elizabeth will discuss the following topics:
• How to keep calm while the POPIA is striking the fan
• What is new with POPIA? Registering your information officer and WTF is prior authorisation?
• Keep your eye on the ball! What you should focus on before 1 July 2021
• Live after 1 July 2021: Some strategies to embed POPIA principles in your business and manage your risk going forward
Who should attend this webinar: Registered Key Individuals & Representatives, Information Officers, Risk Managers, Business Owners, etc.
Costs to attend
Compli-Serve Compliance Services clients: R250 per person (excl. VAT)
Other attendees: R500 per person (excl. VAT).
CPD hours: 3
