Glacier International’s annual Navigate seminars took place across the country in early March.
Fund managers taking part in the panel discussions included James Brown (BlackRock), Kevin Johnson (Dodge & Cox) and Mike Soekoe (Foord) on the Global Equities panel; and John Stopford (Investec), Aram Compton (Sarasin) and Marcus Brookes (Schroders) on the Multi-Asset Investing panel.
Panellists responded to questions from the audience, ranging from their views on the energy sector, their exposure to SA and Africa, and the impact of non-economic events on their portfolio planning, to whether this is a good time to look at developed markets and what the warning signs are to reduce equity exposure.
Glacier International also used the opportunity to launch an enhanced version of its flagship Navigate Model Portfolios. Now called the Navigate Optimised Model Portfolios, the risk-profiled offering incorporates dynamic and active portfolio management into the model portfolio creation process.
