FMI leads the industry with new webinar series for advisers

08 April 2020 FMI

Life insurer FMI, a Division of Bidvest Life Ltd, recently launched FMI TalkTime, a new webinar series to help independent financial advisers stay in touch with the latest trends, product developments, views and challenges in the industry.

The seven webinars, which will run from 20 March to 26 June, will be led by industry experts and FMI representatives drawing on real-life scenarios to demonstrate the importance of each forum. It’s more important than ever for advisers to be able to help their clients balance their lifestyles against the struggles of a tight and unpredictable economy, not to mention insure themselves against life’s risks.

FMI’s TalkTime webinars include a range of topics designed to equip financial advisers with practical tools and information that’ll enhance their advice process and optimise their client’s financial plans. The topics are:

• The case for protecting your clients’ income: 20 March
• How Future Insurability can ease financial stress during lockdown: 8 April
• The case for Life Income (as opposed to Lump Sum benefits): 17 April
• The impact of Life Income on estate planning: 8 May
• Life Income - sales opportunities unpacked: 22 May
• Critical illness - technical definitions explained: 12 June
• A review of 2019’s claims statistics: 26 June

Following each session, speakers will be available for questions. Webinars will be open to all financial advisers interested in attending.

“We want our financial adviser community to thrive, but we’re also sensitive to the increasing time constraints and demands of the independent financial adviser. These webinars offer an easy way of staying abreast of the current industry challenges, and how to drive business growth in a challenging and changing environment,” said Elmarie Samuel, Senior Technical Marketing Specialist at FMI.

“Each session will address specific issues in today’s market, and provide a platform that allows participants to communicate directly with industry professionals.”

Samuel says the webinar series will provide relevant information in a concise, real-time format, and demonstrates FMI’s commitment to positioning its adviser community for success.

“At FMI, we strive to be the industry’s preferred partner when it comes to risk cover for clients. We also want to be the company that advisers turn to for the latest in risk products and industry developments,” she said.

Look out for our email reminders ahead of each webinar, or click here to register for each webinar as it’s announced.
