Discovery staff take part in annual indoor comrades marathon for charity

200 staff members took part in teams of 10 in a friendly competition and to raise money for the South African chapter of the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation. Each team ran the distance of the comrades (89km).
The winners, from Discovery corporate division, aptly named the Wellness Fanatics, made it to the finish line in only 5 hours and 20 minutes – an average speed of approximately 16.7km/h throughout the race.
Virgin Active once again sponsored 20 treadmills for the run.
