There are numerous consequences emanating from a data breach, all of which have the potential to negatively impact a company. Considering that an estimated five malware events happen every minute and that Cybercrime costs SA in the region of R5.8billion annually – the risks facing corporates and individuals alike – are too enormous to ignore.

Although IT security technologies can provide preventative measures against cybercrime, it is impossible to ensure complete protection, particularly given that cyber attackers are continuously seeking new methods to exploit vulnerabilities. Part of the risk management plan must therefore include appropriate cover for that inevitable breach. The cost of not doing so – could cost the organisation its future.

Responding to the scourge that is cybercrime, Camargue is hosting a free Cybercrime Risk Management Symposium – an educational LAB event open to the industry.

With an impressive speaker line-up featuring leading cyber forensic expert, Danny Myburgh from Cyanre and social media lawyer Emma Sadleir, this CPD accredited event is the highlight of the Camargue training calendar and not to be missed.

Although free to attend, seats are limited and prospective delegates must register in advance.

Date: Thursday, 11 June 2015

Time: 12.00pm – 16.00pm

Venue:  JCC Auckland Park
             Napier Road, Auckland Park
            Secure parking available

Fraud remains a strong and regular motivation for hack attacks, but there are a myriad of ambitions behind these intrusions, including theft of data for on-selling to interested parties, terrorism, political gain and espionage. Whatever your motivation for attending this Camargue knowledge transfer event, at the end of the session – you will crack cybercrime liability cover.
